Brent had Friday off to give us a nice long four day weekend. We decided we better get back up to Starke Florida to see my relatives again before we leave. Seems like we were there just yesterday but it was almost two years ago!! They live on a beautiful spring fed (?) lake. It's so peaceful and relaxing there. We all had a wonderful time, a lot of good real and "fake" laughs. (Ellis has learned how to fake laugh) And we were filled with wonderful home cooked meals!
For Ellis' birthday he got this floating tube from Aunt Cindy and Uncle Lonnie. He LOVED floating around in the lake with it.
We stayed two nights and both nights we ended with a boat ride. Or a "rock a bye baby" ride. Ellis was out cold after the first two minutes of each ride and stayed asleep the whole time! I can see how he would, I almost did the same the last ride!
We tested out his new life jacket. Was NOT a fan of it at first, but seemed to get use to it. He's ready for Lake of the Woods!
We left to come home this morning and made an impromptu stop at the Brevard Zoo near our home! Ellis surprisingly was very interested in the animals... It was nice to be outside after a long car ride and on a beautiful day.
But at the end of a busy busy weekend and a busy day at the zoo.... Ellis looked like this.
So we continued home for unpacking, naps and dinner.
Tomorrow we will rest. :) This weekend was a blast!
