Biopsy Results

We heard back from the doctors yesterday evening. They had gotten back Ellis' biopsy report from Boston Children's Hospital. The doctor there running the tests is one of the BEST in the nation our doctor told us. Well, they couldn't find a 100% positive answer to what Ellis exactly has that is causing these spots. They did leave our doctor with what they most likely thought it was, that being Congenital Self-Healing Reticulohisiocytosis. Our doctor we've been working with (infectious disease doctor) had never heard of this. That goes to show that it's pretty rare. There are very few infants who've ever had this. The good news, so we think, is that it's a benign condition that happens in newborns that causes these lesions. They should last a couple months and eventually go away. So, that's what we know for now. We do see the hematologist on Monday to do some precautionary tests with his blood and bones. We are praying those come back all normal and we will just have to watch these spots disappear in the next couple weeks and for good.  Thank you everyone for your prayers! We have people praying for us around the world and it's so powerful. We are thankful for the results thus far, and pray that everything continues to heal up, stay benign, and be gone for good soon. We do ask for continued prayer that Ellis' tests on Monday will go smoothly and come back with no red flags.

This Link kind of explains the condition.
