Christmas Eve

This was our first and hopefully only Christmas of not being home for the holidays. Thankfully this year we had a handful of friends who were also in Boston and we all got together at our friends the Phillipich's for a Christmas eve night. Church, Philli's for great snacks and fun watching the little ones open gifts, and then home to Skype and open gifts with my family.

It was very nice to have our "military family" to share this Christmas with. I think it could have been very lonely and sad and it wasn't. Although we missed being home with our family we were thankful to have the friends we did here in Boston for Christmas.
Here is the lovely Phillipich Family- Mike, Emily, Claire and Lauryn

Our friends Freddy and Rachels two beautiful daughters- McKenna and Dakota
After this we headed home for a Skype Christmas Eve with my Dad, Mom, Laura and her boyfriend Brayden. It wasn't nearly the same as being there but it was pretty cool that technology allowed us to be "together" via web. We got to watch each other open gifts and had some good laughs.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas weekend! Brent has off until Wednesday and I have off until next TUESDAY! yay!! :) Soak it all in before school kicks back in January 9th.
