Satuday Fun!

Saturday we started off our day by heading to Worcester, Mass. DCU Center to watch some NCAA Hockey Tournament. We probably would have been ok just staying home and watching the games but a good friend of ours, Aaron Gens, was playing! He plays for the University of Alaska Fairbanks and they were playing against Boston College. This was the first time in UAF's history they have ever made it to the NCAA Tournament! So fun. Aaron played really well and it was so fun to watch someone you know! They were tied at 1-1 most of the game, and then BC got a goal and then an open net to end the score 3-1. We were unable to visit with Aaron after the game but he was so appreciative of our support. His family had previous plans and was unable to come out so we were his only fans for the day! And so glad we could be!

Enjoying the game. We both had a great time and realized we are really chatty through-out the game. And not so much with each other, but being coaches for the teams playing! We are constantly talking game. It's kind of funny!

For the next event on the day! The girls and I decided awhile back that we wanted to make Easter Eggs! It has been years since we've done it and thought it might be something fun to do! Dee and I both bought different Easter Egg kits and this is what we found...

We had two dozen eggs to boil and decorate. I boiled my eggs at home with the help of Brent, we both were a little unsure on what exactly we were doing and just winged it according to online! When I got to Deanna's house she tells me her eggs have been on the stove for about 30 minutes... and she had like 4 inches of water over the eggs.... YIKES! We decorated them any ways and really are not sure what any of our eggs are going to taste like but it was still fun to get together and be creative!
