December
The hospital in Bemidji was amazing in our delivery. And after her birth they had someone come in to take portraits of her for us for free and they made these tiny molds of her hands and feet. Amazing, so tiny, but so special. We also have Ellis' hand molded this same way as a newborn.
We enjoyed a quiet, but still busy Christmas with both of our families. Ellis was very particular with all of his gifts and wanted to really analyze each ones before moving to the next.
January
Well for most of the winter we followed Brent around while he coached the Bantam B hockey team. Love hate relationship from my perspective because one, I'm selfish and I wanted all of the time he committed to the team to be at home with us, but love because he is an AMAZING coach. He has such passion for the sport and he wants to help the kids.
Ellis' first bath in the big boy tub! (He was scared the first two attemps.)
First official salon hair cut for Ellis
Just proof that Brent had "long hair" and probably should have stayed at the salon for a hair cut! ;)
We officially MOVED INTO OUR HOUSE!
February
During this month we played outside on the warmer days.
Went to a UND hockey game one weekend we were in GF for a Bantam Tourney
Daddy bought Ellis his first pair of hockey skates!
So we were off to the rink in no time to try them out! Ellis LOVED it. Brent would skate with him between his legs and go faster than my liking, but Ellis just loved the speed. {He is a dare devil!} We also put him in a baby walker with his skates on and help support him on the ice as he tried to move.
Daddy's team did well during their season.
Really well. But we were all happy when it was over. Hockey is such a long season.
March
We gained a new family member in March. Sven. Our German Short Hair hunting pup. Little Ole' and Sven will have many memories in the future.
Ellis had swimming lessons and boy does he love the water! He loves to go swimmin'swimmin'!
April
It has been confirmed that Ellis' favorite color at this point in life is YELLOW. He loves to play with his yellow toys and tends to carry them around most. Also loves buses.
And it's been known all along that we LOVE Ellis man and are so extremely thankful and grateful for him and the joy he brings us.
We finished off April by taking Prom pictures at the local depot. We just threw the idea out there and had 6 different sessions. It was loads of fun and we already have a maxed out list for next years prom! :)
May
My sweet momma got promoted to General Manager at North Star Electric. We were all so excited for her and feel she'll do an amazing job. {As she does in everything, how is a girl suppose to keep up with her?}
We have parked my dads boat at our house and took it for a few boat rides and a little bit of fishing. So amazing to have access to water from our home, and to the river.
Ellis LOVES the boat.
Fishing Buddies for life.
Did some fishing with Grandpa too! As long as you bring some juice and a big bag of cheese doritos' along for the trip, Ellis is pretty good. ;)
Played with papa, he'll do anything for Ellis.
Did a little golfing to prep for the upcoming annual Dinndorf Classic.
Got a DOCK- to fish off of before the weeds/wild rice grows up. Brent bought this dock on the swap and sell and pulled it home by boat, and foot one day. It took him 8 hours! He was sunburnt, but the dock made it home. {And he did too!}
We hung out with Cousins!
