Circle Me Bert!!!

Today was Ellis's first TWINS game! :) The Twins were in Tampa (2.5 hours away) so Brent took the day off and we spent the day in Tampa with the Twins! :)

Last night we stayed up late to create a "Circle Me Bert" sign in hopes we'd make the MN broadcasting of the game. (The game wasn't broadcasted in FL today... bummer.)

We had a green backside to our red poster board... so we through together this on the other side....

This morning we got up at 7am to prepare for the big day! It was an early morning for Ellis and Mommy because we've been getting up every three hours at night and normally feeding at 6am and head back to bed until 9am.... we were hard to peel out of bed.

After an uneventful ride over to Tampa we made it. Ellis was a trooper in the car!! 

It was really nice because although it was rainy and humid outside, the Tampa Ray's stadium is indoor and cool! Whoot-Whoot!!

Ok, so remember that "Circle Me Bert" sign we made... we figured there would be limited Twin's fans at the game and we'd maybe have a chance to be noticed! I had my sister record the game and watch it. She was keeping me posted with text messages through out the game as far as people being circled, or fans being shown. She told me that someone else had been circled by Bert and they were actually pretty close to us. We ended up getting the MN camera guys attention so he could see our sign. Now... this wasn't a camera man who walked around and took footage... You see under the Tropicana Sign... there is kind of an orange blob... (Not the orange shirt obvious to us in this picture but really look for that tiny orange spot....) THAT was the camera guy and we got his attention!! After some sign language between him and Brent and two innings later... Camera was on us and we were getting the countdown with fingers for LIVE time!!

Sure enough we were circled and even had Baudette, MN shown!! :) COOL. Now we can say we were on the big screen at Fenway Park, and Circled by Bert at a Twins game... AWESOME!!

We both wore our jersey's! I just recently got my jersey and chose Puckett because I remember going to see him as a little girl in Minneapolis and he was one of my Gram's favorites!

We had such a nice and enjoyable time at the game. Lots of oo's and aww's over Ellis. The little man slept through the first few innings and it was SOOOO loud in there. I was covering his ears it was so loud... But he did awesome.. and noise does  not faze him!

Grandma Jan and Grandpa Steve sent us this shirt awhile back... we brought it with but our skinny bean doesn't quiet fit into it yet. We'll have to go to another twins game in about 5 months! :)

So he wore his baseball onsie instead.... 

It was just a really fun day for the Olson crew!! :)
