Boston Common

Today was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day here in Boston. Wow. We started off our day with a jog along the Charles river near our house. We brought Mox along and the poor little guy is out of shape or just finally losing some energy because about 3/4 of the way he just stopped in his tracks and laid on the cool grass with his front legs kicked out, and back legs kicked back! He was DONE. We walked the rest of the way...

After we grabbed some breakfast at Dunkin' Donuts and enjoyed a nice breakfast on our deck. We showered up and headed downtown. We were thinking we might try to get tickets to the Red Sox/Tampa game but decided against that. We headed to the Boston Common using the "T" (Train). I feel like such a "city girl" when I ride the train and hop on a bus and two different trains to get to my location down town. We checked out the cemetery just near the Boston Common where Paul Revere is buried. (Along with a lot of other people from back in his time and before. I think the oldest grave we found was from the 1500!! CRAZY!) With this Monday being patriots day there was a lot going on downtown (Besides the Bruin's game, Red Sox Game, and The Boston Marathon Monday) Paul Revere was even outside his house to answer any questions today! We didn't see him but when my mom was out here two years ago we did and got our picture with him. :)

This is a memorial thing for Paul Revere. We weren't really sure why there was penny's on it?

I feel so blessed to have this guy below. We really do make a great team and there is no one else I'd rather spend my days with! :) Enjoying a bench break on a beautiful 70 degree day!!

This Freedom Trail takes you on a trip through Boston starting at the Boston Common and ending at the USS Constitution.
Tree we sat under- played around with editing software a bit... :)
Beautiful tree in Boston Common.
Overall it was a great day and we even spotted a celebrity! :) Well... celebrity to us... We walked past Elliot from Jordan's Furniture. He is the owner and that's where we bought our awesome couch. As he approached us I told Brent, "Man, he really looks like the guy from Jordan's Furniture..." and as we passed and saw his long WHITE pony tail we knew for sure it was him! I definitely thought twice about asking him for a picture with me... but too late. ha-
