Still Alive! Here we are!!

We got a check in call from Steve O. today making sure we were still alive! Life has been crazy this week. Starting with last weekend until now. Last Friday we met up with the Walker's for Dinner and a Movie in a near by town. We ate some Mexican food and saw Sherlock Holmes. All of us, the Walkers especially are patiently waiting for their little boy to come to the "outside"! We can't wait to meet them and we are so excited for our wonderful friends!!!

Saturday we joined the Phillipich's for the football game. New England vs. Denver. ( I personally wanted Denver to win! I'm not like the haters out there (especially Boston!), I think Tim Tebow is AWESOME! He is a POSITIVE role model with a good head on his shoulders and his heart in the right place!) This commercial played during the game and it made me smile.

John 3:16 a Tebow favorite and when he wore the verse under his eyes on his black paint he had millions of people looking up the verse John 3:16...millions were being exposed to the word because of his simple action.

Moving on... Sunday afternoon we introduced Mox to his new friend Silas (Hultin's puppy) The Hultin's so nicely will be watching Mox when we go to Florida in February. They did pretty well together, I'm not sure Mox knew what the tiny little Silas was and for once his Mox's life there was another puppy MORE excited than himself! .... Sunday night I was called by the Phillipich's asking if I could watch Claire because they needed to take Lauryn in to the ER with a high fever that she had for 48+ hours. That night ended up with Lo getting admitted to the hospital and released the next day after a night of being monitored.

The week moves on and Wednesday I get a call from Emily that Lo needs to go back to the ER because she was having trouble breathing...Auntie L and Uncle B flew into action taking the worry for Claire away allowing Mike and Em to focus on Lo. We had Claire Wednesday and Thursday night. Lo was able to go home today after two nights in the hospital, lots of poking and pricking and two tired parents! She has a list of viral things wrong and low oxygen levels... thankfully she's better now and working her way towards 100%!

Having Claire is always a good time. She's turning two next month and is such a little chatter box! It's so fun! Night one Auntie L painted her nails and Uncle B had a bedtime movie date with her watching UP. Night two Uncle B had hockey so Auntie L and Claire had a movie date watching Nemo! :) Claire and Mox were great buds! For Christmas we gave Claire a stuffed dog that looks like Mox and she loves the stuffed and real "MAh" as she calls him. :) Having a two year old in a house that the closest thing to a child is a dog was a 180! It was a sneak peak into the life of parenthood and how much your world changes when you add a baby into the mix!

SO- that brings us to today... Today was a big day for Brent. He has been nominated by his squad for a base yearly award. He was interviewed today by a board of higher military and we will attend a banquet dinner February 10th to find out if he won! Fingers crossed!!!

Claire is back home with her family and Mox and I are sitting on the couch "resting" from our busy week while we wait for Brent to get home from yet ANOTHER hockey game/practice!

Sorry we fell off the face of the earth for a bit! But now you are caught up and we are back! :)
