Remembering 9-11

I can't believe it has been 10 years! Feels like just yesterday. When we had heard of the attacks I was sitting in Algebra class and Brent was in health class and we watched the news in shock.

This summer we had the chance to be on the street next to where the Twin Towers stood and it was just an unreal feeling of being next to the place where 10 years ago there was so much terror, fear, sadness and shock that took place.

One of the fences that closed off where the Twin Towers were are covered with little painted tiles. It was very powerful to see.

9/11 we remember all of the people who lost their lives in those terroist attacks. We think of all of the fallen hero's, and the families and friends who lost loved ones. We pray that they have found comfort in the Lord.

On 9/11 we are also reminded how thankful we are to be an American and to have our freedom. Freedom isn't free, we have many men and women who are fighting every day for our freedom. How thankful we are to those men and woman and we continue to pray for there safety as the defend our free country.

A Soldier’s Prayer

Lord, wrap Your arms around me
In this hostile, brutal place;
Let me draw peace and comfort
From Your restful, sweet embrace.

Help me do my duty
To uphold what is right;
Give me strength and courage
Each day and every night.

Lord, hear this soldier’s prayer
To You in heaven above;
Protect me with Your power,
And sustain me with Your love.

This Sunday we also remember the Lord's day. God gave his ONLY son to die on the cross of Calvery for my sin's, for our sin's. How thankful we are to be FREE from sin.
